The function of the dynamos or exciter
machines, which we have in front of us,
is to produce the electric current to be supplied
to the copper coils of the alternators so that
the latter act like magnets (electromagnets) and
thus the magnetic field forms outside them.
The core of the dynamos, like that of alternators,
also needs to be put into rotation, so each
machine is connected to its own turbine.
The turbines of dynamos work in a similar
way to the larger turbines of alternators.
